Antoni Tàpies  
The Catalan artist Antoni Tàpies was born in 1923 in Barcelona, Spain.

He is considered internationally one of the leading personalities of contemporary art. His works can be classified in the “abstract expressionism” using a very own vocabulary of neutral colors and symbols.

Since 1950 he has been exhibiting worldwide in the most important museums, institutions and galleries. More than 100 publications have been edited. His work has been presented in numerous retrospective exhibitions, such as (selection of the last 12 years):
