MIGUEL DRAGO - PORTUGUESE GUITAR
Drago started to study music in Coimbra learning first the piano. He also attended Portuguese guitar classes with maestro Jorge Gomes. Since 1991 he has performed with different fado ensembles at Coimbra University and since 1997 is part of the group “Fados e Guitarradas de Coimbra Anos Verdes”. With these ensembles he has toured throughout Portugal, Europe and abroad (India, Asian countries). From 1995 until 2000 he has been teaching guitar in two Academic Schools of Coimbra. In 2001 he came to live in the Algarve where he continued to perform with different fado groups throughout the Algarve and in Lisbon. Recently he was accompanist of famous singer Viviane with whom he has recorded a CD. From 2002 until 2004, together with lute player José Amorim he launched a class of guitar from Coimbra in Faro. Since 1995 until now he has recorded numerous CDs with different groups of fado.
PEDRO FRIAS - CLASSIC GUITAR
Frias was born in 1976 in Portimão. He started to play the piano when he was 8 years old and with 13 he discovered his passion for the six strings instrument, the classical guitar. He gave his first concert in the church of his home town with 19.
With other guitar players he formed an ensemble and recorded a CD. Pedro is also dedicated to composition. He has composed music and text of various songs. His musical activities concentrate also on Jazz. In 2004 he has founded the Pedro Frias Band. Since then he has performed as soloist or with his group in many venues. In 2007 he was invited to participate in the Festival GuitarFest in the Coliseu of Porto with a classical guitar workshop. Pedro is actually teaching classical / flamenco guitar and piano at Escola de Rock in Lagoa.
