“…although they have not yet reached the notoriety of great renown, they all have, step by step, established their name on the Portuguese artistic panorama: Ana André, Ângelo Encarnação, Diogo Guerra Pinto, Juliano Gomes, Nuno Lorena, Sofia Aguiar e Tomás Colaço are artists whose work Artadentro has always followed attentively and who we know can provide a surprising exhibition and give an idea of the richness and variety of contemporary Portuguese painting. All of them have opted for figurative painting, although their approach is quite different:  from the compulsive and accurate representation of reality to the depiction of a personal universe; from the enhancement of colour to particular attention for overall pictorial expression as well as for small emotional nuances; from considering painting as a vision of the world to considering it an expression of the act of living itself or, simply, as the conscious assumption of artistic vocation – all of them offer the visitor of “Instantanés” a great variety of aesthetic sensations and the surprise of an unusual exhibition.” (Vasco Vidigal)
