Gervásio exhibits for the third time at Centro Cultural São Lourenço. Born in Monchique, a small town in the Algarvian hills, cold and humid in winter, suffocating hot in summer, threatened every year by disastrous fires and with only little cultural infrastructures, Gervásio managed to develop his talent as a painter.
Fruit of a long, intimate search and a restless but determined spirit, the work emerges, sometimes explosive, sometimes contemplative. Between his first exhibition here four years ago and today, Gervásio has followed a long and tormented path, a series of technical and artistic experiments. Strong colours, spontaneous, audacious brushstrokes, giving way to subtle, fine graphic lines, such are the works that will be presented and surprise, once again, the public.
