The Russian painter Igor Oleinikov has exhibited several times at Centro Cultural. Each exhibition showed a different phase in the artist’s work. Now Igor seems to have found his very own language. He takes us into landscapes of strange beauty where trees, paths, lakes and fields appear in an unreal light; lanes of a pungent red, blue forests, bizarre gladesin a milky white light. Are these landscapes resurging from the past? Memories of the world at the beginning of creation? Are they projections into the future, visions of the world emerging after the Big Bang with new aesthetic values? Or is it a personal vision, a glance behind reality where these “mystic landscapes” are hidden?
