Glyn Uzzell was born in Swindon, England in 1930. He has lived in the Algarve since 1979.
He has exhibited widely, particularly in Switzerland , Germany and Portugal where he has been associated with the Centro Cultural São Lourenço for more than 20 years.
His work has been shown at the International Art Fairs of Basle, Cologne , and Düsseldorf. In Lisbon he has exhibited at the British Institute and at the Galeria Municipal Gymnasio. This year in September he was invited to show at the Chelsea Arts Club in London . His work is to be found in many institutional and private collections.
In this present exhibition he continues to explore the theme of abstracted landscapes but has also experimented with the idea of "collection" and with the use of strong colours and completely abstract forms.
